Larry Choi
Managing Director & Co-Founder
Mr. Choi has over 18 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and auditing. Prior to founding Rainbow Capital (HK) Limited in January 2020, Mr. Choi had been a responsible officer for Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activity under the SFO for China Tonghai Capital Limited (formerly known as “Oceanwide Capital Limited” and “Quam Capital Limited”) since March 2016. Mr. Choi worked in Somerley Limited (transferred to Somerley Capital Limited on 1 January 2014 due to its group reorganisation) between December 2009 and December 2014. He handled various initial public offerings, merger and acquisition transactions and fund raising exercises. He worked in the assurance division of Grant Thornton from 2006 to 2009.
Mr. Choi graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a Bachelor degree of business administration in December 2005. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
Danny Leung
Managing Director & Co-Founder
Mr. Leung possess over 18 years of experience in auditing and corporate finance. Prior to founding Rainbow Capital (HK) Limited in January 2020, Mr. Leung had been a responsible officer for Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activity under the SFO in China Tonghai Capital Limited (formerly known as “Oceanwide Capital Limited” and “Quam Capital Limited”) since July 2018. He held senior positions in several investment banks, including CEB International Capital Corporation Limited and Somerley Capital Limited between from September 2010 to April 2018. He has led and participated in various corporate finance transactions including initial public offering, merger & acquisitions, general offer, privatisation and corporate restructuring. He also worked in the audit department of Ernst & Young from 2005 to 2009.
Mr. Leung graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in England with a first class honor in bachelor (Honour) degree in accounting and finance in July 2005. He is a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), and an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).
